Where do you find your products?
Maya: We search all over the world for each product. Then, after we test them, we buy what we judge the finest available. For example, our essential oils are from South Africa. The rich vegetation, climate and protected environment contribute to the production of plants, trees and grasses from which the very best essential oils can be extracted. In searching for the most nourishing lotion and spray, I was delighted to find them right here in the U.S. I also love animals and vowed to provide products that are never tested on animals.

How do I use Tangy Zest and Eau So Nice?
Maya: With Tangy Zest, you can pour a little lotion in your hands, add a drop of one of the oils and mix them to smooth onto your skin. Or use each by itself. You can also add a drop or so of oil to your sunscreen. Spray Eau So Nice gently on your face and skin for a cool perk. Or spray it into the air to freshen the environment around you.

Can you use the essential oils from Gifts of Nostalgia on fabric?
Maya: Though we have used the product on some fabric materials safely, we do not recommend using the oils and fragrances on valuable fabrics you hold dear.

What is in Tangy Zest lotion?
Maya: Tangy Zest unscented lotion contains over 15 natural oils and extracts, including Vitamin E and aloe vera, to revitalize and restore dry hands and skin. The four essential oils include: Lemon (yellow cap) to help brighten the complexion and invigorate the spirit; Peppermint (green cap) to help stimulate the mind and relieve the skin of irritation; Orange (orange cap) to bring joy and life to the emotions; and Lavender (purple cap) to rejuvenate and help firm the skin. Lavender can also be used as an antiseptic and can help relieve sunburn.

How do I care for your fabric products, the pareos, caftans, scarves, the satiny pouches and Dream Song pillowcases?
Maya: The pareos and caftans can be machine washed. I would recommend with like colors and on the hand-wash cycle. The silk scarves must be dry-cleaned. The pouches and pillow cover can be machine washed with like colors and on the gentle cycle.

Can I use the oils and fragrances on my pet?
Maya: No. We recommend you consult with your veterinarian concerning what product you can safely use on your pet in this regard.

What is the best way to use your oils and fragrances?
Maya: You can apply some to your pulse points. Do not apply near the eyes or on open cuts.
