When my husband, Naum, and I left our native European country for the United States, we came with nothing except hope and optimism. We were going to a new life, and Naum said that life begins with a seed. We were planting the seed.

The desire to go forward is part of my nature. I love the thought of tomorrow, the challenge and the joy of accomplishment. I don't linger over yesterday, and I spend today preparing for what comes next.

There's a story behind my flagship product, Gesundheit™ Travel Kits. The kits were inspired by a sneezing, coughing soldier returning to Chicago from Iraq in April, 2003. He sat near me on a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt, Germany, to Chicago. He was exhausted and sneezing from a bad cold. I wished him "Gesundheit" - the universal blessing for good health. We chatted briefly before he fell asleep. I never got his name but I could not stop thinking about his discomfort. Within days, I was creating the travel comfort kit and selecting essentials for travel – lotions with scented oils, an eye mask, a mask to shield the mouth and nasal area, moistened towelettes, and more . . . items that would help keep a traveler more healthy and comfortable in the crowded travel environment.

The seed has taken root and is flourishing. At some tomorrow in the future, our dear grandchildren, Sam and Isabella, will proudly carry on our legacy.
